PLEASANT HILL Mrs. T. Y. Puryear (Crowded out last week) Our revival is being held at Hephzibah Baptist Church this week with good attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Alfonza Starnes were supper guests of the Frank Starnes of Raleigh Saturday eve ning honoring their son, Harold’s birthday. Visitors of the E. V. Rhodes, Sr. Sunday were the Drexel Rhodes family of Hopkins Chapel for lunch, the Oliver Horton family of Raleigh, Mrs. John Perry of Wendell, the Stanley Atkinsons, the D. L. Mills family of Raleigh. The Waylon Gays of Fuquay call ed on the J. B. Carters Sunday af ternoon. Mrs. Nora Starnes, Miss Jane Starnes and Mrs. Jimmie Bryan visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack West in Durham Saturday. Visitors of the T. Y. Puryears, Sr. Sunday were the Maynard Pur year family of Youngsville, Mrs. \-ctii r-uryuai ui naieigu, n. w. x-ui year and Mrs. Nancy Roberts of Eagle Rock, and the Elbert Dukes and daughters of Durham. The Charlie Jones of Raleigh called to see Mrs. Alice Hood and Mrs. Hettie Vause Sunday p.m. Mrs. Vera Rhodes of Wakefield called the T. Y. Puryears, Sr. Sun day night. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Starnes and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Shirley of Raleigh called on the Alfonza Starnes Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ray Carter announce the birth of a daughter, Linda Sue, March 23, at Rex Hos pital. Mrs. Carter is the former Marie Ellison of Belfast, Ireland. T. E. Puryear of Mitchell’s Mill called on the T. Y. Puryears, Sr. Tuesday a.m. Bm3 Harvey Ray Carter is with his parents, the J. C. Carters, Sr., for a few days. Zion Holiness Church held a meeting March 17 through the 23, celebrating the Pastor’s second anniversary. The Sunday School teachers’ meeting of the Wakefield Baptist Church met with Mr. and Mrs. U. G. Jones Monday night. Rev. C. E. Askew was Bible teacher. At the close of the meeting Mrs. Jones served refreshments. Observance of Passion Week will be held at the Wakefield Baptist Church March 31 through Friday night, April 4. Easter Sunday night a program sponsored by the Pastor’s Aid So ciety will be given at the Wake field Baptist Church. Miss Elizabeth Shipman attend ed church at Stokes’ Chapel last Sunday. • I The people of the Wakefield Baptist Chuch want you as well as W. L.
